American Honda Inc announced today that there are actually more models affected by the airbag recall.
The recall has been made after causing one fatality in the United States. The defective airbag, when activated, causes overpressurization causing it to rupture. During explosion, metal fragments may pass through the walls of the airbag possible injuring vehicle occupants.
Affected models are:
- Honda Accord 2001 model
- Honda Accord 2002 model
- Honda Civic 2001 model
- Honda Accura TL 2002 model
- Honda Accura TL 2003 model
